"simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication"
- Leonardo Da Vinci
I love this quote because I believe that the best designs are the simplest. It might seem easy to design something, but it isn’t always easy to make it look sophisticated.
Growing up I loved everything that has to do with design- interior, fashion, industrial, photography, graphic. My eyes just gravitated towards things that were bold yet simple, unique and clever. As a teenager I collected business cards and loved looking at how many ways it can be designed within the boundaries of a 3x2.5 card. I found beauty in typography because I didn’t just see letters I saw forms and shapes. I knew right away that the design industry specifically in graphic was where I needed to be and where I wanted to go.
Originally from the midwest, I received my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to work for a wide variety of industries such as marketing/advertising, retail, food services, e-commerce, industrial, and non-profit organizations. I am currently working as a creative lead for Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh (a fast casual franchise restaurant). I love doing what I’m doing and so thankful that I was able to follow my passion in design.
